Shoppable livestreams let you add products that show up directly during your experience and its recording. You can create one by choosing Shoppable Livestream when creating a new experience:
For each product you need to add these fields:
- Title: The name of the product (max 40 characters).
- Price: The price of the product in dollars.
- URL: The link where the product can be purchased, which will open in a new tab when guests select the product during the experience. These links can be to anywhere—such as your own Shopify store or Amazon—and they can be affiliate links that allow you to earn commissions on sales (you need to set this up separately with each retailer).
- Image: An image of the product you need to crop into a square.
You can add 1–10 products to an experience, and any products you add get saved to your account so they can be easily added to other events.
Other than shoppability, there are some key differences between shoppable and non-shoppable livestreams:
- Shoppable livestreams can only be hosted on Tastemade.
- We recommend you leave the number of spots uncapped—you want as many people as possible to join!
- Shoppable livestreams are by default public, so viewers don't have to RSVP or be on the guest list to watch. Again, you want as many attendees as possible.
- We recommend shoppable livestreams be free to join—the goal is to make money from selling products, not tickets.
